Soften your thoughts and your pace. When you breathe, soften inside. When you walk, soften your muscles and walk with ease. Soften when you talk, and let your words drip from your tongue, like honey. Soften your heart; try, just a little at a time.
Let your defensive edges wobble and begin to crack, again, just a little at a time, respecting their many years of essential service to your vulnerable, precious core.
In each moment, practice softening and allow yourself to sink deeper into yourself and into your life, here and now.
Softening also encourages us to slow down. Our soul loves a slower pace, as do the horses . . .
